Place-field mapping
Techniqueintermediate
Thresholds each unit's activity as a function of the agent's spatial position (e.g. activity above 30% of that unit's peak) to identify contiguous 'place fields,' the discrete-attractor analogue of gridness-score analysis for non-periodic (place-cell-like, rather than grid-cell-like) spatial tuning.
